🔥 Turning Point SWO — Friday, October 10, 2025
At some point in the future, I believe we’ll all look back on this night as “Turning Point SWO.” If you only glance at the final score (50–14), you’ll miss the deeper story. Yes, it resembled last week’s 53–12 result, but the effort, execution, heart, passion, and TEAMWORK were on an entirely different level vs. Pender. Things aren’t always what they apper to be on the surface.
Last week vs. East Duplin was a low point—demoralizing and hard to watch. It could have easily led to the Stallions just going through the motions to finish the season. But after last night? I absolutely cannot wait for the next game!
🎖️ Special Thanks to General Scaparrotti
A heartfelt Stallion Nation THANK YOU to my friend, retired 4-Star General Mike “Scap” Scaparrotti and his wife Cindy for spending several hours with the team. At 4:00 PM, General Scaparrotti delivered a powerful message about:
- Persevering through adversity
- Building each other up
- Prioritizing team over self
- Trusting the process
Words of experience. Words of wisdom. Words of inspiration.
🏈 Fired Up and Bought In
We were also fortunate to hear Head Coach Zach Garvey speak to the team just before kickoff. It was electric—Scap and I were ready to suit up ourselves! The coaches are 100% committed to this team and its legacy. And after last night, I believe the players have officially bought in.
Postgame, an emotional Coach Garvey told the team how much he wants success for them. He praised their resilience and unity, and he made a powerful promise: “It’s coming! I promise you it’s coming!”
I believe him. The switch has been flipped. The Stallions are now a team.
Remember October 10, 2025… Turning Point SWO.
🛣️ Next Week: Road Trip to Heide-Trask
Trask stands at 3–4 overall and 1–1 in the conference. Like us, they’ve faced East Duplin—losing 38–6 last night.
This matchup feels evenly balanced and very winnable for SWO. The key will be:
- Establishing a consistent offensive threat
- Sustaining drives instead of relying solely on “chunk” plays
- Wearing down the opponent over time
But most importantly, we must nurture and grow the team spirit that sparked against Pender. That spark needs to ignite and catch fire!
I plan to be there to witness the ignition. I hope you will be too.
